Faculty Erasmus Exchange Coordinators at Şırnak University contact the relevant Faculty Erasmus Exchange Coordinators at the universities with which they intend to establish an agreement. Together with their respective Heads of Department, they examine the courses open to Erasmus students at the partner institution. If the course content and ECTS credits are deemed appropriate by the Department Heads, the process for proposing an agreement is initiated.
Faculty Erasmus Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that the proposed course modules meet the academic needs of the students. Erasmus exchange students must be able to follow a study program that fulfills the academic requirements of Şırnak University.
According to the Erasmus Implementation Handbook for Higher Education Institutions issued by the National Agency for EU Education and Youth Programs, course equivalency must be achievable with a minimum of 30 ECTS credits.
If all necessary conditions are met and both institutions agree to sign a bilateral agreement, the Erasmus Bilateral Agreement Form is filled out by the Faculty Erasmus Coordinator and submitted to the Institutional Erasmus Office.
The agreement is finalized by the Institutional Erasmus Coordinator, signed and stamped with the official seal, and submitted for the approval of the University Rectorate. Once prepared and approved, the signed documents are sent to the partner institution by post or email.
The bilateral agreement is signed and sealed by the partner university’s Institutional Erasmus Coordinator and Rectorate. One signed copy is returned to Şırnak University’s Institutional Erasmus Office via post.
